Covid-19 Update – Summer of 2021
What a year it has been! Like so many small businesses, the Wolf Den has undergone a complete metamorphosis to make our offerings safe and happy for all our guests. We are delighted to tell you about our accommodation options for the summer of 2021.
The Hostel
The hostel – once a haven for hikers and nature lovers to connect with each other in communal spaces – has been transformed into a glampers’ retreat. Glampers sleep in a private bunkie or glamping cabin and are designated a private gazebo or screened-in porch for meal prep and dining. A new dish-washing station and extended outdoor wash-station are shared by all glampers and are sanitized on a strict schedule agreed with our local Health Unit.
Independent Cabins
Our independent cabins remain the peaceful, private getaway they’ve been for the past five years. Our sanitizing regime and no-contact check-in / check-out policies remain as they have been since COVID began (we’ll still come to say hello and go through all your local trail tips!).
The main lodge and sauna will remain closed until the pandemic is over. Glamping will be available from May 1 st through to mid-October, 2021.
Your Role at the Wolf Den
Our adapted procedures including check-in and check-out instructions, community rules form gatherings, the use of shared facilities, our “leave no trace” policy in cooking areas, and quiet times (SPOILER ALERT: it’s 10:30pm!) are conditions you will be required to agree to before completing your booking. And never fear, in case you forget these details a lovely reminder will be sent before your arrival. Our ability to stay open depends on our guests’ willingness to follow these rules. If you are keen to take a break from government restrictions, we kindly (but passionately) request that you choose a different place to stay this summer. Thank you so much for your support.
